Salicylic Acid
An oil soluble chemical exfoliant that unclogs pores and helps to shed dead skin cells. It is one of the best ingredients for reducing breakouts and treating acne! Salicylic Acid also has potent anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties.
Centella Asiatica (Cica)
Also known as tiger grass because tigers are alleged to roll around in it to heal and soothe their wounds. It is excellent for improving breakouts and reducing Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation. Cica accelerates healing and stimulates collagen production, which can improve signs of aging and firm the the skin. It even improves the skin’s ability to retain moisture and increases the skins natural hyaluronic acid content.
Retinoids
A thoroughly researched family of compounds used in skincare to improve breakouts, hyperpigmentation and reduce signs of aging. Retinoids increase the production of collagen in the deeper layers of the skin, thus forcing dead skin to shed faster. This keeps pores from getting blocked, a key step in reducing breakouts. It takes a few weeks to start seeing a difference.
Don't skip moisturizer
Sunscreen is essential for healing Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation (PIH)

I used to love this serum but as I got busy with life and started trying new skincare I forgot all about it. I started getting breakouts again and ended up wrecking my skin barrier with all the harsh products I used for acne. My skin was peeling, red, irritated and I was still getting pimples. I tried using the cosrx Propolis toner, the Haru Haru toner, and many other things to heal my skin. But only this serum gave me instant results. It feels so cooling and soothing on the skin. I think I was breaking out even more because my skin barrier was so compromised. Ever since I started using this serum again, my skin is healthy, plump and glowing and the breakouts are going away. The best part is that when I use this together with acne treatments, my skin does not get irritated and it is finally clearing up. I cannot recommend it enough!
